You’ve been talking about getting fit, getting back into shape, or having a healthier lifestyle. You’ve probably been talking about this for a while now. That’s great! I’m so excited that you’re interested in fitness and want to learn more. The only problem is, you only talk about getting fit. You only talk about getting back down to the size you used to be, about losing weight and being healthy and having a longer, happier life
— all you do is talk about it.
Just. Do. It. (Also, click on that nifty picture of Shia Lebeouf and see what happens. You’re welcome.)
Get up, get active. Believe me, I know it’s hard — getting into shape is a challenge for anyone, no matter what place they start at. But I’m not asking you to run a marathon. Right now, I’m telling you to stand up.
Go look in a mirror.
Really give yourself a good, hard stare. Analyze everything, from your head to your toes.
Now, sit back down. Do you feel unhappy with what you saw in the mirror? Are you sad that you’re not fit or healthy? Are you disappointed that you’ve let your body get to the stage it’s at now?
This is your wake-up call. Today is the last day that you make excuses for what’s become of your outer shell. This is the last day that you push something this important
— something actually life-threatening — off.
Save your own life while you still have the chance. Lower your chance of heart disease, heart conditions, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, and death. Enjoy your own life, stop missing out on things because of your weight, and just. Do. It. You are in control of being able to live out a long and happy life, you are in control of getting to watch your kids grow up, you are in control of being able to watch your grandkids have kids of their own, too.
You’re also in control of killing yourself from an unhealthy lifestyle. You’re also in control of clogging your arteries and laying around until your heart gives out and your grandkids don’t even remember you. You’re also in control of missing out on some of the greatest opportunities life has to offer by maintaining an unhealthy diet and lack of exercise.
